Smart storage
The LEGO® parts are carefully sorted in a cabinet originally intended for tools. Everything, from tracks to customizable cupcakes with LEGO® Dots, has a designated spot. Sorting the accessories was a relaxing activity that takes some time, but it provides a solid foundation.
Storing memories
The LEGO® instruction booklets are kept in their original LEGO® boxes under the desk, making them easily accessible. Notably, the LEGO® catalog from 1991 and the cards from our visit to LEGO® House in Billund also have their place in this storage area.
Everything within reach
Thanks to the practical layout, everything is easy to find. From loose parts to unique bricks, the storage works efficiently and personally, without compromising the charm of collecting LEGO®.

How to store LEGO® yourself
-
1. Keep Your Manuals
I’ve kept all the manuals from every set — both from the 90s and the more recent years. To store them neatly, I’ve placed them in LEGO® boxes. A perfect way to recycle!
-
2. Enjoy Extra Bricks in Sets
Almost every set contains duplicate bricks. These are often 1x1 bricks, but sometimes also special Technic pieces or minifig accessories. These can go straight into storage!
-
3. Categorize Your Bricks
To keep your bricks well organized, a drawer cabinet from a hardware store is a top tip. The compartments are perfect for this, and once it’s full, you can just place another one next to it.

4. LEGO® Storage Heads
To make the room more fun, it’s nice to not only have drawer cabinets. LEGO® storage heads are a playful way to add some extra storage with a cheerful touch.

To take LEGO® to grandma and grandpa, on a trip, or even just to another room in the house, the special LEGO® suitcase is super handy. Bonus: the set also includes lots of bricks to build with.

6. Be Creative with Storage
LEGO® is a hobby that can easily get out of hand. That’s why it’s important to think early on about creative storage solutions. Use your own cases, trays, or drawers, stack your train tracks smartly, and turn your cupcakes into fun room decor.
