A quick introduction
We are a father (38) and son (7) living in Rotterdam. As this website clearly shows, we love LEGO®. It has become an essential part of our home. What started with just a few sets has grown into a room where everything revolves around building. We share that passion and set up the space together. It’s a place where we enjoy spending time, surrounded by bricks, sets, and our own creations.
A shared passion
We love building new sets together, playing in our own LEGO® City, and keeping things well organised. For our project storage, we literally spent hours on the floor sorting everything by category. My son is especially interested in the bigger 18+ sets — when I’m building one, he’s usually right next to me watching (and later just grabs it off the shelf to play with). We like to switch things up too: sometimes it’s the table football set, then the treehouse, or the Super Mario 64 question block. The highlight so far? Our 2023 trip to Denmark, with visits to both LEGOLAND® and LEGO® House. The latter was especially unforgettable — what a paradise that place was.
Even better as a family
LEGO® isn’t always just a “father-son thing” in our house. My wife enjoys joining in too. She especially likes building sets that look good around the house. By now we’ve got LEGO® plants in the living room, and the Van Gogh painting is proudly displayed in our bedroom. And whatever we’re working on, she’s always supportive. So it’s really something the three of us can share — each in our own way.
