Step by step towards pure art
My wife gave our bedroom a beautiful vintage makeover, and of course, my LEGO® passion couldn't be missing. Besides the Van Gogh Sunflowers, Da Vinci's Flying Machine, and some Botanical sets, she wanted a unique frame for her own painting.
This starting point was the beginning of our search on LEGO® Pick a Brick to choose the right colors for the vintage style. We quickly chose "new dark red" and "warm gold," selecting a wide variety of decorative bricks to choose from.
In this process, I took care of the structure while she refined the details. Major challenges were to make the structure sturdier and prevent bending when hanging, and with some clever round technic pieces, we slightly lifted the painting to avoid any open space.
The result is a beautiful painting with an equally beautiful and unique frame on the wall. It's very cool that inspiration from existing LEGO® artworks and photo frames can lead to the finishing touch of our bedroom!
